Douglas was born in Goose Bay Labrador, spent his developing years in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, but ended up living most of his life in the Thousand Islands area of Ontario as well as the Niagara Region. Recently, he has lived in places as diverse as Iqaluit Nunavut, Springdale Newfoundland and Victoria BC. At the moment he and his dog lives in Whitehorse Yukon and oversees the Canada Post offices throughout the Yukon and Northern BC. He looks after the offices; the dog stays home and watches the house while he works. Douglas has written everything from lyrics to screenplays. Unfortunately, they were not as popular with the public as they were with him; therefore he moved onto his first love: tales of horror & suspense. He also has a review of the Canadian TV series/DVD set of DARK DREAMERS: Volume 1 here. At the moment his stories have or will be published in: Britain’s Horror Express, HUB and Thirteen Magazine: USA’s Black Ink Horror Magazine, Escaping Elsewhere, Mount Zion Press, Chainsaw Magazine, and in the anthologies ‘Raw Meat’ by CWW Press, the HELP anthology by the Preditors and Editors website and Larry Sells’ anthology: ‘Enter the Realm.’ His new novella, 'BOOGALOOS,' and chapbook, 'Sweet Things', will be released in October of 2009 by Side Show Press. And, now in the STORIES page of this website is FREE FICTION. Here is a list of his favorite writers and influences. He likes the styles of Nancy Kilpatrick, Ray Bradbury, Annie Proulx, Susie Moloney, Edo van Belkom, Rick Hautala, Hugh B Cave, Neil Gaiman, Jack Ketchum and Charles Dickens. Other influences are O.Henry, Alice Cooper, Frank Darabont, David Bowie, Tim Burton, Alfred Hitchcock, American Gothic's Shaun Cassidy and Frank Capra.
